West Texas Adventure

This past weekend Ryder and I took a road trip to west Texas. We love just getting in the car and driving. We first stopped in Midland where we were able to drive by Ryder's old house and his schools. It was so neat finally seeing where he grew up. After that, we drove to Lubbock. We got to see the campus at Texas Tech and see old friends. It's always so nice getting to catch up with everyone.

Clayton's take southeast Texas..

This past weekend our little family (Ryder, me, & Sheldon duh) drove to Nederland for our nephews third birthday. We had lots of fun seeing everyone and just enjoying the weekend. I am sure you can tell how crafty my sister in law is. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Oklahoma

We had a great weekend. We went and visited Ryder's parents in Oklahoma! It was a rainy, relaxing weekend. On the way back home we got to meet up with our friend Tony who we had not seen since we moved. Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great week!

Honeymoon: Las Vegas: Part 1

Flashback to our honeymoon... Almost a whole year ago! I never posted about it really. We had the best time. We aren't gamblers or drinkers, so a lot of people were shocked that we chose Las Vegas for our honeymoon. It was such a beautiful place. The people were nice, hotels beautiful, and food amazing. We spent a lot of time walking around and exploring the city.

We saw Cirque du Soleil- Love. It was all Beatles music and AMAZING! There was so much going on in the show; we were exhausted by the time it was over.

We stayed at the Monte Carlos and were very pleased with it.

We ate dessert at Serendipity and oh my goodness.. So good! I had been to Serendipity's in New York, so I was super pumped to find out there was one in Vegas.
We would both highly reccomend Vegas to anyone and we cannot wait to go back! It's an affordable trip (if you don't spend all your money gambling) and can even be done in a weekend. You spend so much time walking, that really only a few days is all your feet can handle.

Our trip

Last week we took a nice trip.. We flew in to Boston and did some exploring. The next day we explored Cambridge, where Harvard and MIT are. One of our favorite parts of the trip. Then we drove to New Hampshire where Ryder's race was taking place. It was BEAUTIFUL. We were able to enjoy the mountains for a couple days, then he did Ironman Timberman 70.3 and did awesome! It was such a beautiful area and well organized race. The race site was at Gunstock Mountain Resort. We were able to go up the ski lift and wow... Took our breath away. I never get tired of being with this guy. :)

Summer Travels

Ryder & I are so pumped! He just signed up for Ironman Timberman 70.3 in Gilford, New Hampshire, which takes place in late August. I absolutely LOVE the east coast and Ryder has been wanting to visit the area. Neither one of us has ever been to New Hampshire. So it will be a trip for his race that we make into a small vacation. What are your summer plans? It's always nice to have something to look forward to.

Weekend Fun

How was your weekend? We decided to go to Nederland this weekend and visit some family. The weekend consisted of lots of fun with my parents, seeing Ryder's brother and our sister in law + their sweet babies, dinner consisting of awesome gumbo and crawfish with my aunt and uncle, lots of coffee at one of our favorite places, pedicure and a haircut! Could not have been better. Family time is always great. It's always nice getting away for a couple of days. Have a great week!
